- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I had the best result for the worst situation! My Havanese, a 12 lb, gentle dog was attacked by another dog, who bit his foot so badly that one of the nails was half ripped out. I showed up with no appointment. They took me anyway, and gave my pet the best care. Dr. Householder's experience as an emergency vet was extremely important to me.My dog has a serious heart defect, so bad that my regular vet won't clean his teeth due to anesthesia risk. Dr. H knew exactly what to do. I can't imagine a better outcome. While the injury is serious (he had to have the entire nail removed) the prognosis is good. I don't get anyone complaining about the staff. They had the opening person call out sick 10 minutes before open. The Dr. came and opened and I felt like all of the staff, both morning and for afternoon pickup were courteous and very willing to share the information I needed.
